Descendents/Gang Green/Dag Nasty/Half Life – March 8, 1987
Milo Aukerman (Descendents vocalist): We got pretty friendly with Dag Nasty. We did a whole tour together at one point, so they were close friends of ours. Whenever possible we tried to hang out, but we were traveling in different buses, and places to sleep at a high premium. You do the best you can to socialize, but also you’re trying to survive in terms of getting sleep and getting to the clubs. With Dag Nasty, there’s a bit of a “comrades in arms” thing, because they were going through all the same stuff we were. The bills were great. I would always try to check out the opening band. I like the shows where there are five bands on the bill, all of which are great bands. It reminds me of when we were getting started in L.A. You look at some of the fliers from that period and it’s crazy. Black Flag, Minutemen, Saccharine Trust… the list goes on and on. Those were fun shows. It was almost like a festival there were so many bands
