We played a headline show at the legendary NYC night club, Danceteria. I’ll forever remember this show for a few reasons. First, we came out dressed in nun costumes. Somewhere in the middle of our set, I did a Bobby Brady-esque drum solo while the rest of the band changed into prom dresses. It was funny to see people all hard in the pit while a bunch of NJ goofs played in awful prom dresses. This was a hipster club, and we were not bringing the hip.

The second thing I remember was that there were a few celebrities at that show, most notably Dee Snider from Twisted Sister and Bruce Dickinson and Steve Harris from Iron Maiden. After the set I walked past the Iron Maiden dudes. I gave them a nod, knowing they had just seen me on stage, and they gave me a look of extreme disgust. It was the look you would give someone if they walked into a church with their dick out… Those dudes did not dig the groovy live vibes of A.O.D. Run to the hills.
