A DiWulf Update from Your Friends Amy & Steve

Hello, friends!

Amy & Steve here, back for a quick update. Summer is in full swing, and here at DiWulf HQ we are so excited about all the new books we have coming out that we just couldn’t wait to tell you about them.

But first, a cat!

Ok, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way…

Jenn L. Beckwith and Gary Lynn Clevenger's paean to all thing Ramones is garnering praise and admiration for its detailed oral histories and genuine love from fans. All Good Cretins Go to Heaven: The Enduring Spirit of the Ramones is the love letter you wish you had written.

July 6th marks the official release date of Mike Magrann’s second novel, Tin Knocker. This is his follow-up to the critically acclaimed Miles Per Gallon. Tin Knocker picks up right where Miles Per Gallon leaves off. Our humble narrator finds himself at a crossroads: the hardcore heyday has ended, and the future is uncertain for the band. Up ahead looms adulthood, but it is clouded by dreams of stardom and excess. Welcome to the Aqua Net years.

Another new title being released in July is the very first issue of a new photography series we are debuting called Only One Night. As the title suggests, each slim volume will focus on one show ––a show that had an impact of some kind on the photographer. Minimal text, maximum volume, the very first edition will feature the photography of Robert Lindsay. The 1984 show features a bill of Government Issue/The Nig Heist/Meat Puppets/Black Flag at Pierce Hall in All Souls Church, Washington DC. This zine-sized volume is 43 pages and sells for only FIFTEEN CLAMS!

And we’ve already got new editions being finished with the help of our brilliant visual guru Orlando Arce. We’ve got some great shows shot by some of our favorite photographers including Marla Watson, Steven J. Messina, Shawna Kenney, and Ken Salerno

And now: another derpy cat!

Autumn brings change, but don’t worry –– when you need comfort as the end of summer is upon us, we have the cure for what ails ya’. BOOKS! September 8th brings the release of the highly anticipated graphic novel Take It Back: Life, Anxiety, and Gray Matter. It tells the story of Washington, DC’s Gray Matter through the eyes and ears of bassist and renowned horror writer Steve Niles. Collaborating with Steve is the illustrious illustrator, Brian Walsby. And to round out the artistic team is Monica Richards of Strange Boutique doing all the lettering. Revolution Summer comes to life. If you are in the DC area, look out for some live events/book signings (and maybe even a show or two) come the fall and winter of 2026.

July 4th marks the 5-year anniversary of the release of Marc Wasserman’s first book: Ska Boom! An American Ska and Reggae Oral History. The comprehensive deep dive chronicles a history often overlooked in the annals of Ska and Reggae.

Don’t forget all our older titles are still in stock, as well as select Earth Island UK books.

Have a great summer!
