We make punk rock books.
DiWulf specializes in publishing heavy literature: the kind of stuff traditional publishing houses wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. Non-fiction books about history, art, and subculture is what moves us. We are a small company and we specialize in publishing beautiful, limited edition books that sometimes cost a lot. We aim to make books that are different from the standard fare; we do limited print runs of material that we are passionate about and we put all of our resources into making books that make a statement. We are not Amazon, we don't have the reach or the pull to cater to large market demands. What we do have is a dedication to celebrating and preserving subculture in all its facets and a desire to present the world with rare books that represent everything we are passionate about. We make the kind of books we would like to read and would love to own.
We roll the nickels.
DiWulf is a fiercely independent publishing house formed by authors Amy Yates Wuelfing and Steven DiLodovico for the purpose of printing their first book: No Slam dancing, No Stage Diving, No Spikes: An Oral History of the Legendary City Gardens in 2014. DiWulf specializes in heavy literature, and the two authors founded this company with the purpose of publishing dangerous books by like-minded authors who share the same aesthetic. Amy and Steve come from the underground music scenes of the 1980s and share a passion for the documentation and preservation of history and subculture.
